The Game of GO
In March 2016, Lee Se-dol, one of the world's best Go players, and Google's artificial intelligence program "AlphaGo" had their first match. (Watch the incredible Documentary) Exactly 10 years later, they met again in March 2026.
In this updated activity, students explore the mathematics behind GO to understand its complexity, compare it to Chess, and think about what it may mean when human and artificial intelligence work together.
