Growth of Facebook
Growth of Facebook
In this activity, students analyze and graph the numbers and decide if Facebook's growth in the first 20 years has been linear, exponential, meteoric, or something else. Will the number of Facebook users continue to grow or will it soon be in decline? Let your student analyze the numbers, pick a side, and duke it out with math.
✏️Note: We first wrote this activity in 2015, and we've now added a few questions with the latest data; Updated in June, 2026.
