Rapunzel
Rapunzel
A live-action remake of Disney's Tangled is now in the works! In this updated activity, students use ratios and proportional reasoning to estimate the weight of Rapunzel's magical hair in the animation, and also their own hair! Great for introducing or reinforcing unit conversion and ratio & proportion in a context that students actually find interesting. Lastly, can your students convert from meters to feet and figure out the length and weight of the world's longest-haired woman?
Optional: Consider starting or finishing the activity with the video on Disney's secret to animating hair!
