Radiation amounts
Radiation amounts
This investigation will help you and your students to better understand the magnitude of normal, background radiation and the more serious radiation exposure that comes from nuclear accidents. Students will gain a realistic perspective on the seriousness of any event. Our investigation on radiation measurements is pretty dense with information but allows students to become familiar with normal and abnormal radiation dosage and calculate yearly and lifetime dosages for people living in various regions and elevations in the US, Japan, and on the Space Station.
For adventurer members, we have an editable Word doc and solutions.
